[Sentoa] Okeechobee Waterway Advice?

Have done the Okeechobee Waterway twice. Scenic trip and an easy transit with just a few small locks. Cooler Fall and Winter months are the best choice. Need to monitor the Corps of Engineers website to get current info on lock closings and water depths. I agree it would be worthwhile doing the OW in one direction and taking the southern route via Florida Bay and the Florida keys on your return. Peter Clancy  NT 32-192  Miami FL
