Our 2005 NT-37 is a flybridge model, and one of the standard features is a custom shaped acrylic wind deflector that attaches to the flybridge "dashboard". During a recent severe wind storm the center panel was broken. I was able to retrieve all the pieces, and I "glued" it back together, but it is downright ugly.
I tried the NT factory to see if a replacement was available, but no luck.
The panels have compound curves, and the only practical way of fabricating these panels is with custom molds in a large oven. Even the best plastics shops would have difficulty with correct freehand shaping of a compound curve.
It appears that newer NT flybridge models have gone to a stainless steel frame with clear panels attached. These panels are simple curves, which any decent plastics shop can make.
My question is whether any readers have experience with either replacements for the original panels or with an upgrade to a newer-style SS-framed design. (or any other alternatives)

Gene, I presume you asked Nordic where they purchased?
I have 37-116, with a bridge, so am interested in case I have an issue.

Hello,
Nordic Tugs did have access to a supplier for replacements but the company who was making them for a long time closed doors. Currently, we are in contact with folks who have the ability using the oven, but Nordic Tug has the molds for those windscreens. We just need to find a supplier who can form the acrylic to our mold surfaces.
If anyone is looking for replacement windscreen please email me so I can get your name on the list so when we do source out a new supplier we can provide the same parts you have. Just to make a note that it is cheaper to buy all three sections than just one. The start up cost and the materials are laid out to be cheaper for the whole set. That would also assure that you have the same tinted finish on each panel as those have changed over the years.
Sincerely,
Dave Allen
