Aw jeez Jim, slapping my forehead. Of course you can’t see it, I just had a total momentary lapse there. This must mean I spent too much time out of the water last year and got too used to seeing things torn apart!Well, as a second option, the rear bearing does protrude from the back of the boat also by about half an inch in my case. If you happen to have a diver cleaning the hull anytime soon or anything like that perhaps they could measure for you. But undoubtedly someone on the list will know what you need.

Sorry for my stupidity. ;)

My boat is in the water so I can’t see the bearings. I’m not even sure there is a second one in the bilge. This is what I see. I can’t remove the bellows as I’m still in the water.

Actually, when I look at fisheries supply at the regular cutless bearings they ask for an outside bearing diameter and a shaft diameter. If you have those two pieces of information, I think you might be golden. So far, I do not see an option to specify the length. In other words, I think that they come in a single length for any particular combination of outside diameters.

If that is the case on yours also, you could certainly measure the outside diameter of the existing Cutless bearing as a starting point. Someone else will need to guide you on the length of the bearings. Maybe Dave Allen at Nordic Tugs if no one here already knows?
