Hey Ben... it is the receiver on the outside bulkhead for keeping the door open. Got any of those? The boat is in the yard, otherwise I'd include a picture.

Depending on what’s wrong—the spring on that receiver is a common failure point. I can help with the spring, but not the whole latch. There was a thread last year I think where that whole assembly part number was called out.

Are you referring to the door catch that the back door latches into when
open? That part is from Newfound Metals

We are having trouble with our latch also. Sometimes the lever doesn’t lift
high enough to release it. Anyone else experience this? It happens when
it’s cold, and/or d when we have several people standing nearby, flexing
the deck a bit to prevent it from releasing.

The spring problem is when the spring in the catch breaks so the catch itself does not always return to that locked position to hold the door open. Newfound metals got a number of springs for me so I have those. The other problems described don’t sound like the spring to me.b

Ben, I would much appreciate getting a couple springs for my sliding doors.
