Scott,
There are "decal" shops that make all kinds of graphics and will do the removal and install as well. I would contact one of them locally and determine if you want to DIY install or have them do it.
The stripe on my 2002 NT 37 was either paint or in the gelcoat, so I did not face this issue, but I have used one of these shops for names and numbers.

I have scrapes on my stripe the stripe is like a decal. Any ideas on fixing it? It wont hold paint. If it needs to be replaced what would be the recommendation?
