Because the original fuel fills could be reached neither from the cockpit nor the wheelhouse I had them moved forward so that I could reach them from the wheelhouse doors, where they should've been in the first place. However, a good yard did this work and the original openings were sealed. In addition, I put a red label on each saying do not use. I had this done on both my first NT 37, Odyssey, and on Nomad as well. And for FR. later models, the factory has moved the fuel fills to a more convenient location.

Haha – I’ve just gotten lazy and rotate the boat 180 degrees during filling so I can stand on the dock. Was getting tired of floating over the water to fill the outside tank. Not to mention my knees 😊.
Just a thought – the original owner might have only had access to a fuel dock with the fat nozzles which are a pain for our boats. Nonetheless – sounds like a poorly done DIY project.

Nothing wrong with moving them. I have made tons of changes to our boat in lots of areas.
However, leaving an apparent fuel filler completely open to the inside of the boat is "nutty".

Hi Wallace,
Do you remember the hull number for Odyssey? Mine was previously named Odyssey and I wonder if she was yours.
