I am upgrading the cooktop on 37-113. We are going g=from the original electric to an induction. I need to enlarge the hole about 1/4” on one edge. Does anyone know what material this countertop is? And the best method for cutting it?
Thanks

Hi Tim
We have 37-100 and the material is Corian. There are plenty of YouTube videos about it.

The original material was Corian (DUSK). I don't know if that color is
available any longer so you may need to search for something close. We cut
the material using a fine blade in a standard jigsaw. Should be pretty easy
to cut but I would caution you when cutting around edges or skinny surfaces
to avoid cracking.

I don’t need too add any, just remove a small amount along the back of edge of the hole

It should cut easily with fine blade on a jig saw. I use painters tape to keep the saw bed from scratching the surface and reduce chipping, sometimes scribing with a utility knife also helps keep a clean straight edge. May not be an issue as the cooktop will most likely cover any small blemishes.
