NT 32 midship cleat

Has anyone installed a midship cleat?  The cleats just forward of the pilot house doors are too far forward to serve as single point  mooring when securing to the floating bollards in the locks.

Hello Harry

See below picture
It is on the starboard side where it is easy to get to the underside of the deck. There is space there for a custom made backing plate or large area support washers.  We always try to dock starboard side to.

It is a bit precarious to get to this cleat when under way. If we anticipate using it we attach spring lines to it and lead one aft to the cockpit and leave the other on the deck at the pilot house door.  Hope this helps

Cheers.  Tony

Can anyone confirm if the NT 37 stern rail is 1 1/4” stainless?  I am looking to get a grill mount for a friend’s boat.
Thank you,
Jack Baker

Our 32-288 has a 1 1/4 “ rail.  Not sure about older tugs.

Scot, my address should be changed to: 3902 Stankus PL, Anacortes WA 98221

Thanks
