Nordic Tug 23
Good afternoon everyone. My wife and I own “New to us” Nordic Tug 32212. We would like to renew the seat cushions.
My question is, how do I remove the helm and companion seats? I have opened the cupboards and see 4 bolts on the Port side. I have turned a couple of these bolts, and they just spin. Am I missing something?

On 32258 (2005) the helm seat is on a sliding track, front 2 bolts easy access, I think 1 in rear to starboard was a pain. Thankfully I didn't have a 4th! Port side was held by 2 screws easily reached at the front overhang. Try gently lifting the back of the seats, if it moves a little you should be able to see about where they are located, if like mine.

I think that there are many variations of pilot house seating arrangements on our older 32s. My seats (32-105 1997) are firmly screwed down from below in the salon cabinets (like James'?); my friend's 1995 has a nice slide arrangement to move the seat to the helm (like Eric's?).
James, because the other ends of your fasteners are blind, they're probably stripped wood screws (?). Might try pulling them out with needle noses.

Hi guys. Thanks. Got the seats off in about 2 minutes.
The trick was the three screws under the over hang.
Screws out, start to lift, sound of Velcro, lift harder, seat off, job
done. Bingo Bango Bongo, Welcome to the Congo.
