We have a NT26 and are doing the Great Loop. There have been times that we really wished we had air conditioning.
I don’t think it was an option when the boats were new. Has anyone had it installed or macgyvered a solution ?
Scott Soper
NT26 Green Eyes
On Lake Oneida awaiting the Oswego canal to reopen when high water subsides.
Our previously owned 26-160 had an A/C on it when we purchased it in 2000.
Most of the components were on a engine room shelf port side. We could run
it while underway if needed using the Fischer-Panda generator mounted in
the lazerette.

I have a 26’ NT and the previous owners installed an RV AC on the roof.
It’s extremely effective and convenient without the sea-strainer issues,
etc.

Nice, I’ve heard of the RV-unit approach. How’s it held up to the saltair
elements?

No issues so far. It has a cover but I use it constantly (I’m on the Loop)
